About us

Mike and Clare Brown, a man and wife team, first set up
D’ARCY BROWN in 2003, following long corporate careers at
the Walt Disney Company, when they launched their first collection (Spring Summer 2004) at Premier Kids in July 2003.

"On the birth of our first child, we found that it was not easy to buy
stylish, but practical clothing that wasn’t covered in logos, or that
was not seen on every other child.

The more we talked about it, the more passionate we became about
designing clothes that are classic, but not traditional. It seemed apt
that we named the company after our newborn daughter, Darcy.

Our concept was to create beautiful clothes with a unique look that
uses fabulous materials matched with classically cut styles. Since
it's launch, D’ARCY BROWN has made a name for itself in
wonderful dresses and separates for girls, exquisite nightwear and
a classic, self-assured style for the boys.

We take the greatest care in choosing gorgeous fabrics, which we
then match with classic cuts, so that the first thing a customer sees
and feels is wonderful.

We design our clothes in the UK and make them in Portugal and
Italy and use only the best European fabrics.

D’ARCY BROWN now exhibits at Premier Kids, Top Drawer, and
now Children’s Club in New York. D’ARCY BROWN is now stocked in Harrods, Fenwicks, Fortnum & Mason and Daisy & Tom, and internationally as far as Japan & Australia.

Our intention is to always deliver timeless, high quality, classically
stylish clothes for sensible prices, in timeless prints.
